2 Motorboats Intercepted in Estancia for Violating Municipal Ordinance Section 89 of Estancia

 

ESTANCIA, ILOILO – Two motorbancas were intercepted and apprehended by joint maritime monitoring teams on June 27, 2026, within the waters of Barangay Luguingot, Estancia. They were cited for violating Section 89 — Failure to Carry License under Estancia Municipal Ordinance No. 2004‑12.

 

Details of Apprehension

 

- First motorboat: Captain identified only as Alias Kim, 33; crew Alias Renniel, 23, and Wendil, 23.

- Second motorboat: Captain Dante, 48; crew Rodel, 30.

 

Authorities from the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), and Estancia Maritime Task Force inspected the vessels and confiscated fresh catch, fishing nets, traps, and other fishing paraphernalia. The operation forms part of intensified compliance patrols across northern Iloilo municipal waters.
