Estancia MDRRMO Holds 3-Day First Aid, Vehicle Extrication Training

ESTANCIA, ILOILO — The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Estancia began a intensive 3-day Standard First Aid and Vehicle Extrication Training on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the New Liga Hall Building.

The training, held in close partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, runs from June 16 to 18, 2026. The program aims to equip local responders and community participants with vital, life-saving skills for high-pressure emergencies.

What the Training Covers

According to MDRRMO Estancia, participants are undergoing rigorous hands-on training in several key areas:

Emergency First Aid: Mastering basic life support, wound care, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Patient Care: Learning proper techniques for stabilizing and safely transporting injured persons.

Vehicle Extrication: Training to safely remove victims trapped inside crashed vehicles using specialized rescue tools.

"This initiative strengthens our capability to respond effectively to accidents and disasters," MDRRMO Estancia stated. "The goal is a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready Estancia."
