13-hour scheduled power interruption for Estancia, Carles, Balasan, and Batad

OFFICIAL NOTICE: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will conduct Scheduled Preventive Maintenance on the Balasan–Estancia 69kV Transmission Line on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

📍 Schedule & Areas Affected

1. 5:00 AM – 6:00 PM (13 hours)

Towns: Estancia, Carles, Balasan, Batad

Full-day outage for pole replacement and technical works.

2. 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM & 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM (1 hour each)

Towns: Sara, Lemery, Ajuy, Concepcion, San Dionisio

Brief interruptions during line switching.

🔧 Why Is NGCP Doing This?

According to ATTY. JAMES G. BALSOMO II, MBA, DM, General Manager of ILECO III, the work involves replacement of wooden poles and other technical upgrades to ensure the safety, reliability, and longevity of the transmission facilities.

Coverage: Estancia, Balasan, Carles, Batad, Sara, Lemery, Ajuy, Concepcion, San Dionisio, San Rafael, Bingawan
NGCP vs ILECO III: NGCP owns the 69kV transmission lines. ILECO III distributes power from NGCP substations to your homes and businesses.
Mandate: Provide affordable, reliable electricity to Northern Iloilo as a member-owned cooperative.

Charge devices: Phones, power banks, rechargeable fans/lights before 5 AM
Unplug appliances: Protect TVs, refs, computers from power surges
Water & food: Store water if you use electric pumps. Prep meals that don’t need cooking
Schedule may change: Outage may be shortened or extended due to weather or work progress
