Buy Bust in Estancia Yields P1.5M Suspected Shabu, 4 Suspects Nabbed
ESTANCIA — More or less 235 grams of suspected shabu worth Php 1,598,000.00 was seized and four individuals were arrested in a buy bust operation conducted by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
The operation was led by PMAJ Dadje B Delima, Chief of PDEU, after a poseur buyer was able to purchase one heat sealed sachet of suspected shabu from the target. Operatives then identified themselves and arrested the suspects on site.
Police identified the arrested persons by alias: Alias Bert, 46, security guard from Estancia tagged as High Value Individual; Alias Win, 25, fisherman from Brgy. Lugingot, Estancia; Alias Ed, 72, driver from Balasan; and Alias Rod, 44, fisherman from Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
All four are now under the custody of Estancia MPS pending charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The IPPO said the operation is part of its intensified provincewide campaign against illegal drugs in support of PRO 6’s drive for a safer Western Visayas.
