CHED Opens SIScholar 2026 for Sugarcane Farming Families
The Commission on Higher Education has opened applications for the Scholarship Program for Children and Dependents of Sugarcane Industry Workers also called SIDA-SGP or SIScholar 2026. The program is for bonafide children and dependents of sugarcane industry workers and small sugarcane farmers as certified by SRA, with application through the nearest SRA Mill District Office.

Who Can Apply?
- SRA Certified: Duly certified by SRA as Sugarcane Industry Worker, Small Sugarcane Farmer, or dependent
- Income: Household gross income not more than Php 500,000 per year
- Grades: 85% General Average for incoming 1st year, 80% GWA for 2nd to 4th year college
- Course: Must enroll in a CHED identified priority program
- Citizenship: Filipino citizen
How to Apply
- Get SRA Certification - Visit your nearest SRA Mill District Office. This is the main requirement.
- Prepare Documents - Certificate of Income, certified true copy of grades, birth certificate if dependent, valid ID.
- Apply Online - Use the official portal shown on the 2026 poster: bit.ly/2026SIScholarApplicationPortal - verify that it redirects to ched.gov.ph
